A Jingling Johnny from the 40th SS StandardCan be taken apart, originally silver-plated or nickel-plated design for non-military purposes, customized for the SS, terminating in a swastika tip. Below which the plaque bearing the name of the Standard, a rune disc with openwork on both sides instead of the "sun" (the setting broken), a crescent extending into eagle's heads and a bell with a band of meander swastikas, both with alternating banners of swastikas and miniature bells (incomplete). Wooden handle. Height approx. 250 cm, width 82 cm.The Jingling Johnny has been roughly cleaned, restored and some parts replaced, with remnants of age patina, but no significant corrosion damage. The sockets for the horsehair plumes only secured provisionally, the plumes themselves and the banner have been lost. Of the utmost rarity.Condition: II - III
