Kent, Ron (American, 1931-2018) Turned Bowl, late 20th century, executed in Norfolk Island pine. Gorgeous splated areas with a natural floral form knot at the base of the bowl. Original receipt and artist CV included. 7 x 19 inches. Ron Kent was an American Chicago born woodworker. His work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Louvre (Mus?e des Arts Decoratif), the Bishop Museum of the Honolulu Academy of Arts, and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. He has presented his works to the Pope?and to three U.S. presidents and two Supreme Court justices, as well as Emperor Akihito, of Japan. Provenance: Dearing Galleries, Columbus, OH, purchased in 1996.
