Large bronze fountain with two bowls based on a romantic story by Francis Joseph Duret (1804-1865). Mounted on a pedestal of two pegasi and a stem of four swans. The bowls are decorated with love doves, lion mascarons and floral designs. A stream of water flows through the pointed top, swans and lion heads, capturing the surrounding space. Height 200 cm, diameter 113 cm. Francis Joseph Duret (1804-1865) famous French sculptor of the romantic movement, teacher. Professor at the School of Fine Arts in Paris.
