An American sterling silver cigarette case or box. Art Deco era, ca. 1920s. Rectangular piece set with black leather. The cover edges are decorated with 14K yellow gold geometric plaques. Central plaque with engraved monogram ECP. Gilt interior divided into two compartments. Marked AK Sterling, 41037, Udall and Ballou on the rim. Total Weight: 331 grams. AK stands for Ahrendt and Kautzman, a holloware and novelties brand of the Arts and Crafts movement active in the 1910-1920s.
