Description
A George II Style Carved Mahogany Library Armchair, Early 20th Century. Upholstered, the rectangular back with outswept arms with rosette terminals and acanthus carved supports, over a square seat raised on acanthus carved cabriole legs with small volutes above the knees, terminating in substantial scroll feet, the rear legs also with scroll feet.
Dimensions: Height 38 1/2in; width 27 1/4in; depth of seat 21 1/2in; seat height 17 1/2in.
Provenance: Property from a Bucks County, Pennsylvania Estate.
Condition
Structurally sound. The upholstery is later and in good condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, scuffs and surface scratches to the frame. Small losses to carved elements, otherwise in generally good condition overall.
