Peter Falk as Columbo audtioned for the role in his own personal trenchcoat he wore THAT one and only THAT one in the 1960-1970s seasons before wardrobe were forced to make a few others a total of less then SIX were EVER worn by him in the dozens of episodes and movies this one comes from his wardrobe designer in the early 90s on sets the ONLY coat to EVER be offered publically was at Bonhams years ago and at 80-100k dollar estimate and 40k dollar RESERVE which at that time it did not reach this is only the SECOND time it has ever been at auction a real trenchcoat worn in multiple shows by Peter Falk as Columbo with a fully illustrated serial numbered COA searchable online
