Carved and polychrome painted wood altar cross, New Mexico, central depiction of El Divino Rostro/ La Veronica (The Divine Face/ Veronica's Veil), hands and feet with visible stigmata, below INRI lettering, signed with inscription and dated 1882 verso, rising on squared stand, typical paint loss and exposed gesso, approx 31"h, 18.5"w, 6"d, 5.5lbs
