An antique French gilt bronze picture frame. Features a bubble glass edges over red guilloche with intricate foliate motifs and is crowned with the twin symbols of Louis XVI - a quiver of arrows crossed with a flambeau - joined by a laurel wreath and bow-tied ribbon. The back is lined in silk and equipped with a wire easel back stand, and optional hanging ring. There is no apparent maker's mark. The dome glass window accommodates a 9" x 7" photograph.

Condition: Good overall contrition with mild surface wear. Age toning to silk backing. Estate fresh to the market.
