R. Jeffrey Points graduated from the College of Architecture at the University of Kentucky in 1969. He continued with postgraduate work at the University of Louisville in Urban Design and at Harvard University in Contemplative Gardens. Mr. Points’ architectural career included projects ranging from banks, libraries, museums, apartment complexes, offices, restaurants, high-end residential and retail shops to interior consultation for Louisville’s International Airport and the interior design of 24 floors in the Humana Building (designed by Michael Graves). Examples of his work can be found in New York City, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico as well as Indiana and his home state of Kentucky. Most of his architectural projects included furniture design and accessory design as well as interior design. The American Institute of Architects bestowed their Honor Awards on his work related to the Humana Building and the Natural History Museum of Louisville. Three of his projects received the Kentucky Society of Architects Honor Awards and eight of his projects received Honor Awards from Preservation Alliance of Louisville.
