Coming in an exceedingly rare wood slide top box, rigged with Rhodes front and rear props and "acorn" style capped body sections. Condition of the Revolution is shiny Ex-/Ex, most likely unfished. The highly sought wood box retains the majority of its fragile "Shakespeare Revolution" paper end label, marked with both the 1901 and 1904 patent dates and "Solid Aluminum Number 4SAR", about VG+/Ex- overall with bold red printing on the slide lid, minor wear/soiling to the wood, and age darkening to the end label, as well as a few sections of paper loss. A truly rare and important box for the serious Shakespeare collector, one of very few known examples.
