This is a French mid 1800's pencil on paper drawing by famous listed French artist Leon Cogniet 1794-1880. This drawing has a wonderful detail design and subject showing a lady seated reading a book. It is signed on the lower left L.C. It comes with its original 22K gold leaf French frame recently cleaned and mated. It measures 11.4" by 14.4" framed and 7" by 10" unframed.
