This vintage Continental gilt brass trinket box dates from the late 19th/early 20th century. It is wonderfully decorated with elaborate motifs appearing on every panel surrounding this decorative table accessory. A glass framed lid cover features an exquisite 19th century garden scene with courtiers & musicians in a dimensional celluloid panel. This hinged cover when open reveals a clean wood interior. The box rests on a mahogany platform embellished with squatty scored feet. There is some discoloration & wear to the exterior panels as a result of age. Other wise the box is in very good to excellent condition.2 1/4" tall X 6 1/2" wide X 4 1/8" deep
