Moore's father manufactured for tiffany and upon retirement left edward moore in charge at the young age of 24. In 1868 tiffany incorporated and bought the moore company, making moore a tiffany director and chief designer and head of silverware operation. With his travels, he experienced many exotic cultures and art which significantly impacted his designs. This pattern was patented in the year 1871 and features a fiddle shaped handle, a stylized palm, and a thread border.
