Artist Biography
Longo traveled extensively with his family during his years as a young man, exposing him to a variety of cultures and environments at a very early age that led him to appreciate the beauty of nature throughout Europe and the states. As a young man Longo always showed interest in art and painting, his family supported and encouraged him to pursue his passion for the arts. He taught himself by studying the old French impressionist master of the early 1900's. He has shaped his own distinctive approach to achieve the same timeless quality in his paintings.

Longo is constantly striving to capture the beauty of a place or moment and keep it at the center of his paintings. All essential elements seem to intermingle effortlessly to craft a composition of visual harmony, a unity rather than a mere array of single expressions. Color, light and texture are carefully joined to impart of sense of space and atmosphere of his paintings. Whether it be a painting of a charming Tuscan landscape, and enchanting sunrise, or beautiful gardens, Longo's interpretations evoke beauty in a way that touches something basic in our lives.

Since 2001 he has been exhibiting at the New York Art Expo. Longo's original oil paintings can be found in select fine galleries across the United States.
