Artwork Description
This hand-colored engraving on paper depicts women walking along a riverbank with a French town on the other side of the river. A peak into the everyday lives of people during the 20th Century. One can see the influence of famous impressionist painter Camille Pissarro, the artist's grandfather, in this artwork. The artwork is framed in a museum quality solid wood silver leaf frame with a premium double mat. Hugues Claude Pissarro, also known professionally as Isaac Pomi, was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1935, he spent his childhood and youth with brushes in his hand growing up in such an artistic family. His work has evolved throughout his career in various styles and techniques, but he is perhaps known best for his Impressionist works, known collectively as Petit Claude.
