Description
Bronze metal Shiva Linga or Lingam is a symbol that represents Lord Shiva who is considered the most powerful of deities, in Hinduism. Consists of three parts ~ the lowest of these is called the Brahma Pitha, middle section is the Vishnu Pitha, the uppermost part called the Shiva Pitha. The circular base holds an elongated bowl like structure reminiscent of a flat teapot with a spout that has had the top cut off. Within the bowl rests a tall cylinder with a rounded head. Features raised decorative God like deity forms around. No apparent markings.
Dimensions: 6.75 X 5.25 X 6.75 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having normal surface wear. Retains its patina. Estate fresh to the market.
