Estate collection lot of a total of four (4) Native American Indian ceremonial ritualistic / storytelling / healing / meditation rattles. It is known that some tribes gift these to babies and younger children, as a sacred and integral part of that tribal culture. They are also used to keep rhythm during tribal dances and spiritual and non-spiritual ceremonies. Modeled with wood handles, the tops with either leather, rawhide, hollowed gourds or animal shell and decorated with beads, feathers or animal hair, the insides with either corn, pebbles, cherry pits, turtle bones or other occurring natural materials. Measure from 7" - 14 1/2". Provenance ~ Acquired from The Estate of a member of the Seneca Indian Wolf Clan.

Condition: Good to fair overall condition having normal surface wear. Creasing / dents in the leather on one article. Crack lines in the gourd on another. Kindly bid accordingly. Estate fresh to the market.
