Two American Aesthetic Movement Sterling Silver Serving Utensils, Late Nineteenth Century. Comprising a fish serving fork, George W. Shiebler & Co., New York, New York, the hammered handle chased and engraved with a catfish and cattails, and the tines with flowering branches, factory mark, "STERLING" and numeral "5;" and a silver and silver-gilt ice cream knife, Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, Rhode Island, the blade bright-cut with borders of flowering vines and scrolling flowering vinery, centering a band of gilt spade-shaped leaves continuing to an S-scroll of anthurium leaves with flowerhead terminals, the handle chased and engraved with flowering vinery, factory mark and "STERLING." 10.12 troy oz. total weight Fork: H: 9 in., W: 2.875 in., D: 0.75 in. Knife: H: 9.875 in., W: 2.25 in., D: 0.5 in.
