Description
Two Military Portraits, Early Twentieth Century. Oil on board, the first a French officer standing over a casualty with two soldiers peering from behind, (13.25 x 9.25 inches, sight), the second a Trumpet, Imperial Guard, Dragon, with cavalry in the distance, both apparently unsigned, (11 x 9 inches, sight); the second housed in a giltwood frame molded with swans and fruiting vinery ending in scrolled rosette terminals. Second frame: H: 14.625 in., W: 12.5 in., D: 1.625 in. Provenance: The Dingman Collection, Hampton, New Hampshire.
