Description
Group of German and French Porcelain Wares, Nineteenth Century. Comprising a Ludwigsburg Porcelain Manufactory cabinet cup and saucer, 1803-16, crowned initials "FR" for Duke Friedrich II; a Berlin topographical cabinet cup inscribed "Tubingen;" a Berlin floral cabinet cup and saucer; a Berlin (KPM) sweetmeat basket, 1849-70, printed orb and cross, "KPM" mark in iron-red; a 'Sevres' Chateau de Bizy sugar bowl and cover, printed crowned interlaced L's "SEVRES 1842" mark in blue, and crowned "CHATEAU DE BIZY" mark in iron-red; and a pair of small jardinieres, each printed on one side with children playing as commoners and an aristocrat. Jardinieres: H: 4.375 in., W: 4.375 in., D: 4.375 in. Provenance: Property from the Collection of Cortlandt and Nancy Knowles Parker, Greenvale Farm Estate and Vineyard, Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
