Description
Europe, France and England, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A fine ensemble of pewter vessels: measuring mugs of a deciliter, a double deciliter, a demi liter, and a liter, a lavabo, 2 bowls, and lidded pot. All of the vessels have varying owners' or makers' marks. The liter, demi liter, and double deciliter are marked with the initials "A.G." and a crescent moon, while the deciliter has the mark of "B&U" surrounded by a dotted, ovoid periphery. All measuring mugs are stamped with varying marks of letters and some crown symbols along their handles. "A.M." is carved into the underside of the more petite bowl, and "A.F." is on the larger. The lidded pot has "J.D.V.D." stamped on its base, and, last, the lavabo bares a mark comprised of 2 shields and the letters "HIB" and "Z" on the verso. Size of largest (lavabo): 5.9" L x 9.9" W x 12.25" H (15 cm x 25.1 cm x 31.1 cm)

Condition
Some light bending to rims of bowls and stable hairline pressure fissures to top of lid of pot. Nicks, abrasions, and scratches throughout, all commensurate with age. Otherwise, all are intact with nice presentations and rich patina. Encrustations in some areas. The liter, demi liter, and double deciliter are marked with the initials "A.G." and a crescent moon, while the deciliter has the mark of "B&U" surrounded by a dotted, ovoid periphery.
