Europe, Neoclassical / Etruscan revival, ca. 19th to 20th century CE. A gorgeous garnet bead, hand-sculpted to portray a winged scarab on its convex side and the image of a nude gladiator on the other. Holding a sword and shield, the warrior is surrounded by a striped border that was traditionally used in Etruscan scarabs. A stunning revival piece - laterally drilled for easy suspension on necklace, bracelet, ring, or earring! Size: 0.3" L x 0.3" W x 0.4" H (0.8 cm x 0.8 cm x 1 cm)
