North America, United States, Illinois, Elgin National Watch Co., ca. 1923; Canada, Chester, ca. 20th century CE. A lovely, still-working Elgin pocket watch set in a gold-filled case made by the Canadian company "Chester." Serial number 25783446, the grade 315 movement by Elgin is a model number 3, class 114, and size 12s. It features an open face movement configuration with a 15 screw-set jewel setting, a 3/4 plate, and a nickel finish. A wonderful, historical timepiece! Size of watch: 1.75" W x 2" H (4.4 cm x 5.1 cm)

Condition
Elgin movement set in a Chester gold-filled case. Some staining to glass, but otherwise, intact, excellent, and still working! Screw-off backing with inscribed numbers on interior from previous watchmakers keeping records of previous services and repairs.
