Description
Group of New England and Midwest Free-Blown and Pressed Colorless Glass Lighting Devices, 1830-45. Comprising a sparking lamp, the blown font joined by a wafer to the circular stepped inside-ribbed and square base with outset corners; a whale oil lamp, probably Midwestern, with slightly compressed spherical font, joined by a double wafer to a ribbed hollow standard pressed with groups of four diamonds, above a ribbed and incurved square base; a whale oil lamp, the blown spherical font joined to a pressed triangular base of C-scrolls above a circular hollow plinth ribbed underneath; and a pair of candlesticks, each Lacy n. 1 nozzle joined by bladed wafers to the five-stepped circular standard above a square base with zigzag edges and rounded corners.Tallest whale oil lamp: H: 8.375 in.
