Description
A contemporary figurative aqua color glass sculpture titled "Les Danseurs (The Dancers)" designed by Dan Dailey for the studio of Daum France. Etched signature from Daum and Dan Dailey. Limited edition of 200. Made with intense blue pate de verre (crystal paste). Produced in 1979. An angular composition of male and female figures in a tango-like position. Since 1971, Dailey has participated in over 300 group, juried, and invitational exhibitions, and has had numerous one-person museum and gallery exhibits including a major retrospective at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, and a recent installation at the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. He has completed more than 70 architectural commissions for corporate headquarters, hospitals, municipalities, a county courthouse, a performing arts center, and private residences.
