comprising twelve table forks, twelve tablespoons, twelve dessert forks and twelve dessert spoons, by Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London 1846 (one spoon 1858); twelve teaspoons, twelve pairs of fish eaters, probably by John Gilbert, Birmingham 1864/ 69; and two sets of twelve silver-handled knives with steel blades, London 1965/ 66; all within an inlaid mahogany case with recessed brass carrying handles. Case 47.5cm wide, table forks 21cm long,185 troy ounces gross (excl. the knives with steel blades)
