Pair of vintage hand painted miniature portraits of the Mughal emperor Akbar and his chief consort Jodha Bai set in gilded wood frames, marked on reverse. Akbar was an early Mughal Emperor who reigned from 1556 - 1605, with Jodha Bai, correct name MariamuzZamani, being his principal Hindu wife and also his favorite wife. These items cannot be exported from Canada. Frames measure 5.5 inches H x 3.75 W. Portraits measure 2 x 1.5 inches.
