An original limited edition ceramic plate by Galerie Madoura Pottery, a workshop in Vallauris, France. The pottery is well known for its exclusive Picasso Editions produced in collaboration with Pablo Picasso, 1881 to 1973, a prominent Spanish Modernist artist. A round shaped dish made of white earthenware clay, relief decor after an artwork titled Joueur de flute et cavaliers, Flute Player and Horsemen .Circa: 1956. Marked with an impressed stamp, Madoura, Empreinte Originale de Picasso, and numbered 47 out of 100, on the backside. Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
