Description
A lot of two antique enamel items, a travel icon of Seraphim of Sarov, and a body icon pendant with an angel. The first rectangular hand painted enamel plaque of Russian origin depicts praying in a forest Seraphim of Sarov, a hieromonk of the Sarov Monastery, founder and patron of the Diveevo Convent in the 18th century. Glorified by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1903 as a saint on the initiative of Emperor Nicholas II. Travel icon of miniature size. On top, it is written the name of the Saint in Russian. Circa the late 19th century. The second is an antique enamel pendant with an angel playing a drum. Collectible Christian Orthodox Religious Items, Russian Icon.
