Color lithograph on paper by Lucien Lefevre, 1850 to 1902, a French poster artist. The print is mounted on canvas. The artwork depicts the personification of France embracing a woman and child who escaped from a fire. Titled above, Grande Fete de Bienfaisance au benefice des incendies de la Martinique et de la Guadeloupe, Great Charity Festival to benefit the fires of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Signed by the artist in plate in the bottom middle. The charity festival was held in 1902 after the eruption of Mount Pelée on Martinique.
