An Italian Baroque Carved Walnut Cassone, 17th/18th Century,
Having carved opening top cover supported with wrought iron hinges. The front panel with male and female figural pilasters flanking carved grotesque figures surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaves, mounted on lions paw feet. The sides having wrought iron handles.
H: 22 1/2 W: 66 D: 21 in.
From the Estate of John A. Davidson, Jr. Proceeds to benefit the APL of Lorain County and the Dittrick Museum.
