Hand-colored aquatint, engraving and etching by R. Havell, 1830, on J. Whatman paper dated 1830, plate 91 from The Birds of America, framed.
Sheet 38 1/4 x 25 1/2 inches; 972 x 648 mm.
Frame 48 5/8 x 35 1/2 inches; 1235 x 902 mm.

Lightstain and matstain, foxing and other discoloration, some slight rippling and handling creases, some stitch holes and associated creasing and short tears at left sheet edge, some other nicks and tears at other sheet edges (longest 7/8-inch), a 1 3/8 x 1 1/4-inch replaced area with old tape at bottom sheet edge verso (some associated creasing, tears and a small loss at edge), 1/8-inch abrasion (with associated ink loss) in the bird's wing at left, old linen tape residue at top sheet corners verso.
Condition
