Austrian School, 19th century Children by a cornfield oil on canvas 32.5 x 39cm Condition Report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. There is a concave deformation at the upper left corner caused by impact from the front. There is also a small dent and loss to the paint above this area. Overall the paint layers are in a good condition. There is a thick, yellowed varnish layer across the surface which is uneven. At the left hand side a small area of varnish has been abraded and the bright blue of the original paint layer can be seen. An attempt at cleaning dirt from the varnish has left the surface smeary.
