Faceted shaft merging into baluster-shaped walls. At the base of the cuppa and below the shoulder there is a stone cut. Circumferential, gilded bronze mount depicting a chariot led by Cupid and drawn by two lions in double repeat. Gilded bronze mount on the shoulder with hanging ornaments and laurel wreath. Edges of peeled neck notched. Protruding lip rim also with bronze mount. H. 26.5 cm The mount of the wall as an allegory of a legitimate, just and loving rule: the chariot as a symbol of justice, the lions as a symbol of a legitimate rule, and the cupid as a symbol of love.
