Description
A cased pair of early 20th century silver novelty knife rests, mark of Henry Williamson Ltd., Birmingham 1905, each with a hollow bar and two hollow teddy bear supports, the seated bears realistically formed with engraved decoration, 9.5cm wide overall, presented in a fitted case retailed by Mappin & Webb, lined in blue satin and velvet 1.7ozt gross Case - Exterior a bit scruffy and rubbed. Interior in better condition, but the silk is stained in two areas. There are two sets of cut-outs, but this is probably not the original case. Metalware - Overall in good condition with no obvious signs of repair. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected. Hallmark clear and crisp. The socket on one of the bears has a little split.
