An early 20th century German metalwares silver novelty double inkwell, mark of K. Kurz & Company, Hanau, with London import marks for Sterling silver, 1902 and sponsor's mark of Theodor Hartmann, in the form of a day bed, exterior with repoussé scrolls and pastoral scenes, part marked piano hinged centre section, interior similarly decorated with two recesses each containing a glass well and a central circular recess with part marked piano hinged cover, 15.5 x 6cm, 7cm high, 283.7g (9ozt) weighable silver
