Description
Two Early Painted Dome-Top Boxes (New England, 19th century) Including a box with sponge-painted decoration and leather handles and a box in blue paint. Both constructed of white pine with iron locks. Largest: 11 1/2 x 26 x 13 in. (29.2 x 66 x 33 cm.)
Condition
Both with wear to surface throughout. Sponge-painted box with loss to lower-front right and one loose hinge. Blue box with chip to right side, age cracks on top, and missing lock cover. Condition reports are available upon request. The absence of a condition report does not imply an object is free of imperfections.
