Illustrator/Author: Bartlett, William; Willis, Nathaniel - Publisher: London: George Virtue Undated Edition. Generally, a good, clean copy, with sharp impressions of the plates. One of the most popular mid-nineteenth century works illustrating America. Bartlett travelled from New England south to Virginia and west to Niagara Falls, drawing some of the most spectacular American scenery. His drawings were engraved by a host of skillful artists and accompanied by text of N. P. Willis. Spine is damaged as pictured and the front cover is detatched.
