1921 watercolor by Morris Hobbs (1892-1967). Signed by artist. Measures approx. 15" x 18 1/2" OA; 8 1/4" x 11 1/2" SS. Morris Henry Hobbs was an etcher, engraver, painter, illustrator, woodcarver and teacher. He studied drawing at the Art Institute of Chicago and with Ernest Dean, Clarissa Keith, and Ralph Fletcher Seymour, primarily illustrators. He later branched off into the study of architecture, and was identified with that profession for many years. Artwork has not been removed from frame for inspection.
