Late to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC.
A Late Period faience duck amulet. Amulets representing animals were attributed to a deity: a hawk for Ra, the Sun God, a lion for Sakhmi, the War Goddess, a ram for Khnum and a cat for Bast. For similar see: Christie's, Live auction 3798, Antiquities, Lot. 176.
