VTG Persian Marquetry Khatam Inlay Mosaic Jewelry Trinket Box. This piece is in excellent overall condition. There is a little bit missing from each corner of the black and white panel on each vertical side, which is not a loss or damage, but how the piece was constructed to allow for expansion of natural materials in desert conditions. There are some minor fill-in repairs here and there, the most noticeable is the one on the lefthand side on the front side, as you can see in the third photo. The eighth photo also shows a fill in along the top edge, but as it's on the back side, this is less noticeable. These are the most noticeable touch-ups, but there are other small ones here and there. The interior is clean and in great shape. The hinges are in great shape and the lid is working well. The box measures about 9 x 5 1/2 x 3 inches, LxWxH.
