Carpenter, County Auditor Crane, County Treasurer Hartwell, and County Clerk DE Arnold. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Three allegorical vignettes. Britton & Co. 29 coupons attached. 17.5 x 15" Folds, creases. This company was organized in 1862 with the purpose of constructing a railroad from Lincoln, Placer County, to Marysville, Yuba County, as an extension of the California Central Railroad. Its first president was Samuel Brannan. In 1866, FM Pixley was the new president, and 17.5 of 24.5 miles were completed. Yuba County California
