The Spokesman Review (Spokane, WA) from 16 Aug 1957, page 12, mentions Mullan Idaho, , that after 1884, the Abbott Mining Company, its reorganizing and adding claims to its holdings, kept the town alive for many years. From the San Francisco Examiner, Nov 8, 1875, page 3: "The Abbott Mining Company filed a claim for 9,593 78 in currency, including, amounts due on two promissory notes dated December 16th and 24th, 1875, for $4,890 12 and $4,708 66 respectively.
