Description
Circa 1940 Gibson Model K.E.H. Power Amplifier (Serial #12087)This is an extremely rare find as it appears to be all original except for the new speaker. Both tubes light up and it works, speaker and capacitors have been replaced, and all electronics tightened up, cleaned and checked. It shows it's aged a bit, but presents a nice sound out of the 6-inch electrodynamic speaker. Kalamazoo was Gibson's Michigan-made amplifiers and this circa 1940 model K.E.H. amplifier would have been the companion for a Kalamazoo lap steel guitar. I plugged in a 1970s Japanese "Lawsuit" Les Paul guitar and it sounded great. It is a small amplifier, measuring 12 inches wide, 10 inches high, and 8 inches deep. A single 6L6G tube drives the speaker. The power output was about 5 watts. I've checked and tubes still available to buy, ranging to $33-$95, if you never need one, but they work just fine now.
