Description
Pre-Imperial German Prussian 1870 Iron Cross 2nd class with 25-year oak leaves, awarded for valor during the 1870/1871 Franco-Prussian War. Cross appears to an "early award Type A" with a blackened iron core made by Wagner. Original ribbon with heavy freckling to the iron core and heavy patina on the silver frame. Attached is a "Jubilee" 25-year oak leaves awarded in 1895. The attachment of the oak leaves has been repaired with a crude application of solder on the repaired jump ring. CONDITION: Overall good.
