Description
Manufactured by the Inland Division of General Motors between May 1942 and September 1943. Inland barrel dated "4-43" with "S" marked milled front sight and 2-leaf aperture rear sight. Round bolt. Inland trigger group with push button safety and "M" marked magazine catch. "IO" Overton low wood, oval cut stock stamped on the right with Ordnance wheel. "P-U" stamped 2 rivet top wood. Early unmarked barrel band and checkered butt plate. Complete with "N-S" ink stamped woven sling, "IS" oiler, and a 15-round magazine. No visible import marks. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal retains significant portions of arsenal finish with some moderate wear. Stock has been lightly cleaned, scattered marks present throughout. Bright, strong bore with well defined rifling.
