Description
Lot consists of: (A) Ornate bronze mission bell that bears the date "1818" on the side with foliate decorations. The bell is attributed to Mexican War veteran James Hardin of Silver Hill, Arkansas. The bell came with Hardin's Mexican War Survivor Pension document. The bell exhibits heavy oxidation but the designs remain visible. Document is fragmented. CONDITION: Good. (B) Pair of circa 19th century epaulets with gold metallic embroidery and lush bullion fringe contained in their original case. Black felt and gold fringe remain intact in very good+ condition. Hook marked "Marque du Fabrique". Flaming bomb on button. Some loss at the top, box remains sturdy. CONDITION: Very good.
