Description: Extensive 18th-century oil on canvas picture of John Parker, 1st Lord Boringdon. Outstanding quality full length portrait of the Lord with the surrounding scenery and his huting rifle. The piece is comparable to another of Reynolds's from the same era. Would be greatly improved by a quick clean. Shown in its original antique gold-colored frame. Size: about 44" by 36" when framed Redlynch House, Salisbury, Wiltshire is the provenance.
