Kill Bill Vol. 1 is an American film from 2003 directed by Academy Award winner Quentin Tarantino. It stars Academy Award-, BAFTA Award- and Golden Globe Award-nominated Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, and Golden Globe winner David Carradine and follows the story of a former assassin who awakens from a lengthy coma with revenge on her mind toward those who have betrayed her. The film received five BAFTA nominations and a Golden Globe nomination.
