However, there is a special 1971-S Eisenhower Silver Dollar that is 90% silver and was sold as collector's edition.The coin is made from 40% silver with a weight of 0.3161 troy oz. The obverse features a profile image of Dwight Eisenhower along with the year of mintage. The reverse displays a bald eagle landing on the moon along with the denomination.
